At first, we started with a half-step back from the goals they set out for their partner program. At the heart of it they wanted to grow revenue by bringing in more customers, and first-time buyers. They revealed that they had the best process in the remodeling business, especially in terms of taking consumers and builders through their options and stages of implementation.
We asked them to invite some of the leadership and had them get a few of their key customers and partners involved in the session. We focused the meeting on one simple goal, to collect their ideal set of needs or requirements.
Afterward, we sat down with our design team and created a software app prototype with 5-6 key features. We took their prospects and customers through a simple 5 stage process for a kitchen remodel. Each stage had a video we shot with a friendly and confident actor. It was a set of videos that acted as a trusted advisor, and had insights, sequences, scores, and areas where we were able to introduce positioning about what was coming up, or when certain decisions needed to be made.
We turned the whole campaign we were asked to run for marketing, into an app, hosted on a website with built in notetaking, including notes sent to company staff and sales team members for follow-up. The app also had embedded PDFs, including guides, manuals, brochures, and rebates. We rolled different versions of the website out for each state or region, and the success of the program was so strong that we turned it into a training program and sales tool.
