One of our clients came to us a few years ago. They weren’t just asking about website development, they were asking about event planning, data, analytics, and how we could assist their members, which is a homebuilder associations primary goal.
One of the areas we could help them with most, was in how they could provide a feedback loop to their homebuilders, real estate agents, and the residential homebuyers in the marketplace. We noticed that when getting involved with their team, that they all had a lot of industry knowledge and were very active on their phones. We also knew we had an ability to help them with their judging.
They were using a lot of manual steps and procedures, and spending extra time and effort to do simple procedure at a large scale. In one event, a home showcase called the Parade of Homes, it was taking dozens of people days of calculation to score and rank new homes that had showed up in the Tulsa Metro area. So, we built a database for them, tied it to a mobile app that ran on each of their smartphones, and started running analytics, scoring routines, and dashboards for their staff and homebuilders.
As an example, the new database and mobile apps could also collect detailed notes, feedback, live images, and opinions on the quality of the construction and staging activity, and all in a central place and in near real time. This provided a new level of insight to their homebuilders, and to this day, greatly improves the community and it’s homes. So much so, that other Homebuilders Associations in surrounding cities and states have taken notice.
