I wonder how widespread this will become. Marking photos and edited in post is going to be a huge qualifier. Almost all professional or studio images are produced or edited in post, it’s a question of how or how much, incl color palette, blemish removal, contrast increases or decreases, etc. Putting a digital filter on your images is as prevalent as putting a lens on your camera.

The law means that any models appearing in commercial photography whose bodies have been made thinner or thicker using image software must be labelled with “Photographie retouchée” (edited photograph). France isn’t the first country to legislate on image editing in advertising (Israel did so in 2012), but it’s good to see more awareness on the …

Say goodbye to the ‘G’ and hello to the pin.

Google Maps came along 15 years ago, wiping out the need to commit routes to your long-term memory and provoking sales of road maps to plummet. To mark its birthday, Google has given the platform a total overhaul, with a brand new look, a plethora of new features and a shiny new app icon.

Google Maps’ icon was last updated in 2015, to a map featuring a pin plus its ‘G’ symbol. But this new incarnation has ditched the lettering altogether, and put the well-known pin icon firmly centre-stage.

A combo of 4K and 360º, the AI-powered modular Insta360 ONE R action camera impresses with its small size and high quality hardware.

We have been wanting to get our hands on one of these. Nokia has had a professional alternative in the marketplace for years. However, it costs 10s of thousands of dollars. The review cites the cost of this bad boy as a con, but we have to say that it actually hits the sweet spot.

Can’t wait to get out in the field and start creating with this thing. Of course we’ll report on our progress once we find a client that can use some 360 degree creative.

A lifetime is an awful long time. That said, never underestimate the power of the vector image format.

These are highly scalable, visually impactful pieces of creative for your projects. We use them mainly for accents, backgrounds, and presentations, especially because they project so well. And by project, I mean we once gave a presentation to a prospective client as we walked outside a trade show floor with them, by projecting our presentation and proposal on to a building across the street. Vector formats work perfectly for this ;-/.
